Neymar got big news

Brazil's star footballer Neymar was fined $3.3 million for building a lake at his home in violation of environmental protection laws. The Brazilian court waived his fine.

Judge Adriana Ramos de Mello told news agency AFP that they have received the court's ruling. No environmental license is required to build Neymar's lake at his home.

Neymar was fined by Mangaratiba City Council Secretariat. Their complaints about Neymar's house were that an artificial lake and beach were built next to the house without the permission of the Ministry of Environment and the city authorities, which obstructed the source of clean water.

Neymar bought the 10,000 square meter house in 2016 in Mangaratiba, a tourist area 130 km from Rio de Janeiro. The house has a helicopter, spa and gym.

Note that Neymar is out of the field for a long time. The Brazilian star has also been ruled out of the upcoming Copa America due to injury. Brazil team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar said to wait for several more days to know exactly when he will return to the field.

On October 16 last year, Neymar was injured while playing against Uruguay in the World Cup qualifiers in South America. It was after that injury that there were concerns about his Copa America game. That fear has come true. Neymar had to undergo surgery after tearing the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee.

Then in December, Rodrigo Lasmar confirmed Neymar's absence from the Copa America. The doctor spoke to the media a few days ago about Neymar's return to the field. He commented that although Neymar is improving rapidly, he will have to wait more to know when he will return.
