Messi’s Impactful Return to MLS Action  

Lionel Messi made a dream comeback for Inter Miami, scoring just two minutes after coming on as a second-half substitute in their 2-1 win over Philadelphia Union on Saturday. The Argentine star, who had missed action due to an adductor injury, wasted no time in making his presence felt.  


Match Highlights: Miami vs. Philadelphia  

- Robert Taylor opened the scoring in the 23rd minute after a well-placed pass from Benjamin Cremaschi, following Jordi Alba’s run down the left flank.  

- Messi entered the match in the 55th minute, replacing a fatigued player. Just two minutes later, Luis Suárez set him up on the right wing, allowing Messi to cut inside and unleash a stunning right-footed shot into the far corner.  

- Philadelphia responded in the 80th minute, with Quinn Sullivan assisting Daniel Gazdag for a powerful finish.

With this victory, Inter Miami remains unbeaten, securing four wins in their first five matches of the MLS season. Messi’s return boosts their hopes for a title push, with Luis Suárez, Jordi Alba, and Robert Taylor forming a dangerous attacking unit.
