Mbappe back with France for Nations League quarter-finals against Croatia


 Kylian Mbappe has returned to the national team squad after six months. The World Cup-winning forward will take to the field wearing an armband in the UEFA Nations League match against Croatia. France coach Didier Deschamps has confirmed Mbappe's captaincy. Ousmane Dembele and young forward Desigual Douy have also been called up to the squad.


Kylian Mbappe last played for the national team in the UEFA Nations League against Belgium. The French star played only 23 minutes in that match. After that, the forward was not included in the squad for 4 consecutive matches. Coach Didier Deschamps said that he was out of the squad due to physical and mental problems.


France's opponent in the quarter-finals of the Nations League is Croatia. After being out of the national team for six months, Mbappe returned to the squad against Croatia. The French coach also confirmed that Kylian will take the field wearing an armband in the two-leg match in March.


Meanwhile, Madrid midfielder Xhuameni, who was out of the team due to injury, has also returned to the squad for the match against Croatia. Ousmane Dembele, who has been in excellent form for PSG this season, is also there. In addition, PSG's 19-year-old forward Dzigi Doue has been called up to the squad.
